Prepare for Liftoff: UPLB SChemES helps high school students find their destination through Pathfinder 2022: Igniting Perspectives. Ascending Heights.
The UPLB Society of Chemical Engineering Students (SChemES) will be conducting its second career orientation webinar entitled Pathfinder 2022: Ascending heights. Igniting perspectives this coming September 3, Saturday at 1pm via Zoom and Facebook Livestream.
The webinar is open for Junior and Senior High School students who aspire to pursue engineering courses in the future. It is intended to help students have a better grasp of educational and career opportunities and options that would assist them in making meaningful and well-informed career choices.
During the event, four (4) honorable speakers from University of the Philippines Los Baños College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology are invited to discuss and share their experiences regarding each Engineering field: Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo, current Dean of the UPLB College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology; Dr. Ramon Christian P. Eusebio, Associate Professor of the UPLB Department of Chemical Engineering; Dr. Butch G. Bataller, Associate Professor of the UPLB Department of Chemical Engineering; and Engr. Frederic James V. Espiritu, one of the instructors of the UPLB Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Pathfinder 2022 is made possible to help these students be enlightened on what possible careers they may experience or face in the future. Moreover, Pathfinder 2022 aims to provide a sense of belonging to students who are interested in the field. They will get more at ease with the course, learn about college policies and expectations, and start connecting with key people. Truly a valuable experience!
