A group of lawyers who supports presidential bet and Vice President Leni Robredo launched a task force which aims to give free legal assistance to victims of cyberbullying or online harassment rooted from fake news.
“[M]arami tayong natanggap na mensahe ng paghingi ng tulong mula sa mga nakararanas ng online harassment o cyberbullying na bunga ng naglipanang fake news sa social media,” said Lawyers for Leni (L4L) in a Facebook post.
The Anti-Bullying Special Task Force is an extension of the existing free legal assistance program of L4L.
The group said they do not intend to seek for revenge or form a fight but to emphasize the importance of healthy discourse online.
“Ang L4L ay patuloy na gagabay at aalalay sa ating mga #kakampinks sa pag-abot ng layuning ito,” said the group.
